Online and in-person courses
Online and in-person course bookings are subject to the following terms:
Payment is due at the time of booking.
If you are booking an online or in-person course for professional development purposes and the course content is applicable to what you do professionally, we do not consider you to be a consumer (the definition of ‘consumer’ in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is an individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside that individual’s trade, business, craft or profession).
Requests to amend course bookings must be made by email to emily@digitallandscapes.co.
For online courses, cancellation requests made more than 2 weeks before a course starts will be accepted and you will be able to transfer your booking to another course of the same value at no extra cost. If a cancellation request is made less than 2 weeks before a course starts, you will be unable to transfer your booking and the full course fee will remain chargeable.
For in-person courses, cancellation requests made more than 4 weeks before a course starts will be accepted and you will be able to transfer your booking to another course of the same value at no extra cost. If a cancellation request is made less than 4 weeks before a course starts, you will be unable to transfer your booking and the full course fee will remain chargeable.
As an alternative to cancellation, another person may attend a course in your place. We require 72 hour notification of the change along with the name, contact number and email of the new attendee.
We reserve the right to cancel or re-arrange any online course with less than 4 individual bookings and any in-person course with less than 6 individual bookings. We will let you know 7 days before the course starts and, if a course cannot be rearranged with your agreement, we will provide a full refund of the course fee.
We reserve the right, under unavoidable personal circumstances, to cancel or rearrange any course at any time without incurring any liability. If a course cannot be rearranged with your agreement, we will provide a full refund of the course fee. This refund will be our maximum liability in the event that the course is cancelled. We recommend customers consider appropriate travel insurance.
Self-study course
Self-study course purchases are subject to the following terms:
Our self-study courses are hosted by Squarespace. Payment is due at the time of purchase.
Requests for refunds will not be considered for downloadable products, which can be read or viewed immediately, or saved locally and used at a later date.
Bespoke training
Bespoke course bookings are subject to the following terms:
Payment will be due 2 weeks prior to bespoke training commencing.
If you have purchased bespoke training for professional development purposes and the course content is applicable to what you do professionally, we do not consider you to be a consumer (the definition of ‘consumer’ in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is an individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside that individual’s trade, business, craft or profession).
Requests to amend bespoke training must be made by email to emily@digitallandscapes.co.
Cancellation requests made more than 2 weeks before bespoke training commences will be accepted. If a cancellation request is made less than 2 weeks before a course starts, you will be able to rearrange the training for a mutually convenient date and the full course fee will remain chargeable.
Tutorials
Tutorials bookings are subject to the following terms:
Payment is due at the time of booking.
Cancellation requests made more than 24 hours weeks before a tutorial starts will be accepted and you will be able to transfer your booking to another time at no extra cost. If a cancellation request is made less than 24 hours before a tutorial starts, you will be unable to transfer your booking and the tutorial fee will remain chargeable.
Requests to amend tutorial bookings can be made by email to emily@digitallandscapes.co, although if you create an account when booking you will be able to manage this process yourself!
Communications
By making purchases from this website, you agree to your data being used by Digital Landscapes for future communications about the course. We will not share your data with any third parties. Information about how we collect and process personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Conduct
Please aim arrive before courses are due to start so as not to disrupt teaching. Online Zoom courses open at 9.20 and in-person venues are usually open from 9.00 (we will confirm this in pre-course information specific to the venue/course, which will be sent to you 48 hours before the course starts).
Our tutors will behave with respect and courtesy towards course attendees at all times, and in return we expect the same respect and courtesy towards our tutors.
We will try to speak clearly and loudly, if you cannot hear us, please let us know.
Zoom etiquette: we will have our camera on at all times when teaching and we expect attendees to do the same. If you are participating from somewhere where there is background noise please use the mute function except when talking to the tutor or class.
Equipment
We will provide our own laptops for demonstrations, and will be using Zoom for online courses and projectors provided by our venues for in-person courses.
We will ensure we have the relevant equipment and software licences, and an appropriate internet connection, to facilitate running each course and, where possible, will test our equipment before a course starts. In the event that equipment causes delays we will do our best to ensure all course material is presented to you that day. In extreme circumstances, we will reschedule part or all of the course at a mutually convenient time; the full course fee will remain chargeable.
You are expected to provide your own computer/laptop with the appropriate software installed before the course starts. We cannot help you with software installation.
For online courses you may find it useful to have a second screen (or iPad) on which to view Zoom while you work on your primary screen.
Reasonable Adjustments
Please disclose any reasonable adjustments you require a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the course starting to enable the appropriate support to be put in place.

“I like computers: always have done but, in spite of my best efforts, CAD has rather escaped me and I am of a generation of designers who are happier with bits of paper and animated descriptions. Therefore I need some young and springy geniuses to take my airy scribbles and transform them into something easily comprehensible by clients and contractors. Step forward Fiona and Emily.”
