Duration

This is a one day course starting at 9.30 BST and finishing at 16.45 BST.

There will be a morning session (9.30 - 12.45) and afternoon session (13.30 - 16.45), each with a 15 minute break.

Pre-requisites

This course is aimed at people who have a decent knowledge of SketchUp (at least to the level of having completed our Introduction to SketchUp or similar) and have used Photoshop before, although not necessarily extensively. A decent working knowledge of computers would be advantageous, and feeling comfortable navigating the web to research new topics. Although it’s written for landscape professionals, the contents are applicable to other industries (although the exercises are specific to landscapes).

Getting started

It is essential that you have Photoshop installed and running prior to the course. We cannot help you with software installation and if you have any difficulties with this please contact Adobe directly.

The course will be run via Zoom. You will need a stable, reliable internet connection to view the course, which is run online.

Course structure

This course is divided into a series of lectures and class exercises. As tempting as it is to follow the tutor during lectures - selecting tools and drawing as they draw - you are more likely to miss details this way (even if you have two screens) because you will be concentrating on your own screen and not the tutor. There is a lot to cover in a day and the lectures will run quite quickly to leave as much time as possible for class exercises.

We recommend you concentrate on the demonstrations and make notes by hand.
