Our Intermediate Vectorworks course focusses on the tools you will need to draw and present masterplans, construction details and planting plans.
Course objectives:
Understand the Resource Manager
Use the Landscape Area, Hardscape and Fence tools
Import and geolocate DWGs
Draw and customise walls, doors, windows and steps
Draw existing trees and hedgerows
Create your own plants
Create mixed planting areas
Using pre-formatted reports
Export to DWG
Please note this course does not cover the 3D capabilities of Vectorworks, other than understanding that Hardscape, Landscape Area and Fence objects operate in both 2D and 3D. We teach 3D Vectorworks in our Advanced course.

Duration
This course comprises two half days; a Thursday and Friday morning. Both days start at 9.30 GMT and finish at 13.00 GMT. There will be a 15 minute break during each session.
Pre-requisites
Please note that this course assumes familiarity with Vectorworks. We will assume you know how to draw and transform a variety of shapes, understand the use of snapping, layers and classes, and are able to create and publish sheet layers. Please consider our Introduction to Vectorworks course if these workflows are unfamiliar to you.
Getting started
It is essential that you have Vectorworks Landmark installed and running prior to the course. We cannot help you with software installation, if you have any difficulties with this please contact Vectorworks UK.
The course will be run via Zoom. You will need a stable, reliable internet connection to view the course, which is run online.
Course structure
This course is divided into a series of demonstrations and class exercises. As tempting as it is to follow the tutor - selecting tools and drawing as they draw - you are more likely to miss details this way (even if you have two screens), as you will be concentrating on your own work and not the tutor. There is a lot to cover in a day and the demonstrations will run quite quickly to leave as much time as possible for class exercises.
We provide a comprehensive course manual and recommend you concentrate on the demonstrations and make any additional notes by hand.
