What is Vectorworks?

This two hour course is a brief introduction to Vectorworks. It features five 20 minute videos with course notes, a Vectorworks file with garden survey and an exercise to complete in your own time.

The course introduces you to the user interface, demonstrates how to draw and colour basic shapes, introduces tools and tool boxes you will use as a garden or landscape designer and demonstrates how to publish a drawing.

The course is aimed at diploma students who want to start using Vectorworks before their course starts, and garden and landscape designers that don’t currently use Vectorworks but are considering it for their business. It is ideal for those with an educational or evaluation licence.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites for this course. Although it is written for landscape and garden professionals, it is an introduction to Vectorworks and as such is applicable to other industries, although the exercises are aimed at landscape and garden designers.

This course is only a very brief introduction to Vectorworks, if you have a Vectorworks licence and are ready to start using the software, we recommend starting with our Introduction to Vectorworks course.

Getting started

It is essential that you have Vectorworks Landmark installed and running prior to starting the course. We cannot help you with software installation, if you have any difficulties with this please contact Vectorworks UK.

You will need a stable, reliable internet connection to view the course.

Course structure

This course is divided into a series of recorded lessons and exercises. You will be able to log in and watch the videos whenever you want, and however many times you need to.
